About The Position

The position involves providing exceptional customer service at Lowe's Outlets by engaging with customers to understand their needs and assisting them in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and loading merchandise. The role requires listening to and responding to customer inquiries, communicating information about stock and special orders, and providing support at checkout functions. Additionally, the individual will be responsible for writing customer contracts for equipment rental, cross-training in other areas, and generating leads for Project Specialist Exterior programs. The position also includes monitoring merchandise for security risks, ensuring compliance with cleanliness standards, and maintaining a safe work environment. The individual will operate store equipment and may be assigned additional duties as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Provides SMART customer service at all times through the daily execution of Lowe's Outlets.
  • Seeks out customers to understand their needs and assists in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and/or loading merchandise.
  • Listens to and responds knowledgeably and promptly to customer and employee questions.
  • Demonstrates sincere appreciation to customers.
  • Communicates information to customers regarding stock, special orders, and warranty information.
  • Provides prompt support to checkout functions and requests for assistance.
  • Writes customer contracts and invoices for equipment rental.
  • Cross-functionally trains in other areas of the Outlet.
  • Generates leads for Project Specialist Exterior programs by engaging customers.
  • Uses store systems to prioritize loads and look up items for price and inventory information.
  • Down stocks merchandise and prepares it based on customer requirements.
  • Monitors merchandise entering and leaving the store and assists customers who trigger alarms.
  • Detects signs of shoplifting and communicates them to management.
  • Ensures compliance with housekeeping standards.
  • Maintains a safe and secure work environment.
  • Operates store equipment as needed.
  • Provides exceptional customer service by applying SEEK – LEARN – BUILD.
  • Assists Pro customers with product location and loading.
  • Understands and utilizes Pro Loyalty and related programs.
  • Processes sales transactions according to company guidelines.
  • Completes freight and merchandising fulfillments.
  • Coordinates and supports deliveries from beginning to end.
  • Inspects and cleans interior and exterior areas as needed.
  • Keeps staff and customers safe by checking for hazards.
