The Radiation Science and Engineering Center (RSEC) within the College of Engineering currently has an opening for a Part-Time Electronics Technician. This position reports to the senior facility electronics engineer and is principally responsible for assembly, calibration, troubleshooting, and repair of electronics and computer equipment used to measure, monitor, or support reactor operations, research, and/or instruction. Along with these duties the candidate will order, organize, and store spare parts as necessary to maintain reactor and other laboratory equipment. This position works under the supervision of staff engineers to install and maintain experimental equipment, reactor console electronics, radiation detectors, electronic dosimeters, and other electronic equipment. The position will comply with and perform work within established facility procedures, regulatory requirements, and University policies.
