Christel House Academy West is currently seeking a Part-Time Online Learning Assistant Hours: 8 hours per week (Monday-Thursday from 8:30-10:30a.m.) Job Summary: This position provides supervision and motivation to students across grade levels rotating through a weekly check-in period focused on their online personalized learning software. This role will supervise students while they work independently on their software and will help students monitor their progress in online learning, celebrate accomplishments, and triage any barriers to their online learning.

Requirements

• Experience and interest in working with children
• Strong communication skills, Spanish bilingual preferred
• Competency in using and providing basic troubleshooting with technology
• Ability to report to work on a regular and punctual basis.
• An agreement with the mission statement and goals of Christel House Schools.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to reach with hands and arms.
• Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
• Letter of interest stating why the candidate feels his/her qualifications are a good match to those sought by CHS

Responsibilities

• Monitor groups of students for the purpose of providing a safe and positive learning environment.
• Assist students with navigating personalized learning software.
• Use student data to conference with students about their progress in the software, providing encouragement and either providing immediate solutions or flagging ongoing challenges for other staff members.
• Attend meetings and in-service presentations for the purpose of acquiring and/or conveying information relative to job functions.
• Other duties assigned.
