About The Position
Join our fun-employed family at the Old Jail Museum as a Part-Time Tour Guide Actor! This is a fantastic opportunity to immerse yourself in the rich history of Saint Augustine while entertaining and educating visitors. As a CASTmember of the Nation's Storyteller, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and informative tours that bring the history of our Old Jail Museum to life. Your role will involve narrating several tours during each shift, ensuring that guests not only learn about the historical significance of the site but also enjoy a memorable experience. We are looking for individuals who possess a genuine love for history and a passion for storytelling. The ideal candidate will have a good sense of fun and a desire to entertain while accurately conveying historical facts. You will be trained to perform scripted tours, and no prior knowledge is required as we provide comprehensive paid training. This position requires the ability to stand for long periods, work independently, and handle various situations with professionalism and a pleasant demeanor. As a Tour Guide, you will be expected to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays, and you will have the opportunity to participate in a fun, upbeat work environment with various awards and recognition celebrations throughout the year.
