We are seeking a passionate and driven Part-Time Occupational Therapist to deliver high-quality in-house therapy services to adults with a range of diagnoses and disabilities, with a special focus on supporting aging in place. In this role, you will directly influence residents' quality of life by providing person-centered interventions that promote mobility, independence, and overall well-being.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited therapy program - Occupational Therapist (OT)
• Current state licensure
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
• Results-oriented with strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Conducts screenings of new community residents and those referred by nursing to determine the need for intervention
• Evaluates residents to obtain data necessary for treatment, planning and implementation
• Interprets and communicates evaluation findings to residents, family, and other team members
• Records treatment times and documentation by following federal and state laws, rules, and regulations
• Demonstrates capacity to understand insurance reimbursement and billing while coordinating care
• Provides treatment in accordance with established standards of practice, department procedures and productivity standards while adapting treatment for individual needs
• Monitors resident response to intervention, modifying treatment as indicated to attain goals in accordance with physician orders
• Recommends and educates residents, family, and community staff in the use of adaptive equipment and assistive devices
• Consistently demonstrates sound judgment in the evaluation, planning, implementation, and follow-up of resident therapy programs including excellent communication with community staff
• Maintains safety standards including compliance with infection control, universal precautions and OSHA standards for healthcare professionals
