About The Position

Applications for Part-Time, Associate Faculty pools are continually accepted (unless otherwise specified) by the District and will be added to the application pool for review by hiring authorities on an as-needed basis. Should you be invited for an interview, you will be contacted by a District representative. The adjunct instructor will teach Adult Basic and Secondary Education courses which include GED/HiSET test preparation, GCC Adult High School Diploma program, Concurrent High School Credit Recovery and Advancement classes, and Basic Skills and College Readiness courses.

Responsibilities

• Provide coaching and instruction to basic skills students in reading, mathematics, and writing.
• Design and deliver short-term, small-group classes focused on High School Equivalency preparation, covering subjects such as essay writing, reading comprehension, basic algebra, geometry, statistics, science, and social studies.
