About The Position
Anderson University is accepting applications for our Natural Sciences adjunct teaching pool. Adjunct Faculty are temporary, part-time positions hired each semester on an as-needed basis. Instructional responsibilities include teaching Biology for the 2025-2026 academic year. The role requires meeting scheduled classes, facilitating a learning environment to promote student success, providing a syllabus for assigned courses, managing course content and requirements, maintaining student records of attendance and grades, evaluating student work, and completing course assessments. Additionally, maintaining frequent communication with students, department faculty, and staff is essential, including timely responses to emails and aiding students beyond scheduled class time. Required documentation must be submitted to the Department Chair and/or Dean, and attendance at required university meetings is expected. The faculty member will also consult with the Department Chair/Dean to resolve concerns and issues with classes or individual students.
