About The Position

A warm, international family is seeking a Temporary full-time Nanny/Housekeeper to support their household while they are based in Chelsea, NYC from February 10 through April 10. The role centers around caring for their bright, curious 3-year-old son, while also supporting the home with hands-on housekeeping. This position is ideal for someone who genuinely loves children, brings positive, playful energy, and is equally comfortable shifting between childcare and household support. The family values attentiveness, care, and effort. This roles schedule is flexible on what days you work. The family will be living in a spacious single level 3-bedroom, 3-bathroom apartment with excellent amenities outside of the home, including a playroom and gym, which the nanny is welcome to enjoy. Start Date: February 8–10 (flexible) End Date: April 10 Schedule Part-time position averaging 25 hours per week Ideal schedule would be 4 days per week, approximately 6 hours per shift One evening shift per week is preferred (approximately 4:00 pm–10:00 pm) Ideally, one of the working days would fall on a weekend (morning, afternoon, or evening is okay) Typical start time would fall between 11:00 am and 1:00 pm, with flexibility Role Breakdown Approximately 70% childcare and 30% light housekeeping Some weeks may be more child-focused, while others may lean more toward household support

Requirements

• Warm, playful, and genuinely enjoys being around children
• Calm, patient, and positive
• Organized, reliable, and able to follow instructions carefully
• Security-aware
• Able to balance childcare and housekeeping responsibilities
• Excellent references required
• 5 years of experience working with children of similar age
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
• Comfortable with thorough background checks
• CPR/First Aid Certified

Responsibilities

• Attentive, engaged care for a 3-year-old boy
• Planning and leading child-led, educational play (books, storytelling, dinosaurs, imaginative play, obstacle courses)
• Supporting Montessori-style, gentle parenting with firm boundaries approach
• Encouraging manners, independence, and safe risk-taking
• Reading, explaining concepts in detail, and engaging in conversation
• Preparing simple, healthy meals and snacks
• Daily tidying and upkeep of a 3-bedroom, 3-bath home
• Kitchen cleaning and organization
• Vacuuming floors and common areas
• Laundry, ironing, and putting clothing away (including high-quality garments)
• Changing bedding and maintaining bathrooms
• Occasional errands
• Light fridge clean-outs and general organization
