About The Position
Join the largest protein producer in the world at Tyson Foods New Holland Complex, where we are currently accepting applications for part-time general labor positions. This role requires a willingness to work in various processing departments and on any available shift, primarily the first shift. As a general laborer, you will be involved in general production tasks that are essential to our operations. The work environment can be challenging, as it involves working in very cold conditions, and you must be prepared to handle the physical demands of the job. The position requires you to be adaptable and ready to work on a fast-moving processing line. You will be using scissors and knives to cut chicken, which necessitates a certain level of dexterity and attention to safety. The job also involves standing, walking, bending, stretching, climbing, pushing, pulling, and reaching, often while working on a platform that is two feet above the floor. Lifting may be required in various areas, and the weight will depend on the specific tasks assigned. Safety is a priority, and you will need to be aware of your surroundings, as the work areas may have slippery surfaces and varying temperatures. Additionally, some departments are located on lower levels, requiring you to walk up and down stairs frequently.
