About The Position

We are seeking a qualified MRI Technologist to join our team on a contract basis. The position requires operating MRI scanners and ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the imaging process. The technologist will work two 8-hour shifts per week, with the possibility of additional hours during the week. The contract is set to end on May 22, 2027, but there is potential for extension based on performance and departmental needs.

Requirements

  • Current ARRT Certification
  • Current BLS (American Heart Association, American Red Cross, Military Training Network)

Responsibilities

  • Operate MRI scanners and select proper imaging protocols.
  • Screen patients for MRI safety, including implants, devices, and contraindications.
  • Educate patients about the MRI process and ensure comfort during scans.
  • Administer contrast materials when needed under physician direction.
  • Monitor image quality and adjust techniques for optimal results.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and detailed records.
  • Ensure proper functioning of MRI equipment and assist with maintenance.
