About The Position

The Security Guard will assist Property Management with ensuring the safety and security of resident and authorized visitors. This role involves patrolling the property, monitoring surveillance equipment, and inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points to permit entry. The position requires extensive interior and exterior patrols to assigned areas and involves completing reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities. The Security Guard will also be responsible for preventing losses and damage by reporting irregularities and informing violators of policy and procedures.

Requirements

• Ability to patrol property and monitor surveillance equipment
• Strong observational skills
• Ability to report irregularities and enforce policies
• Good communication skills for interviewing witnesses and obtaining signatures
• Ability to perform extensive patrols

Responsibilities

• Secures premises and personnel by patrolling property
• Monitoring surveillance equipment
• Inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points
• Permitting entry
• Obtaining help by sounding alarms
• Preventing losses and damage by reporting irregularities
• Informing violators of policy and procedures
• Restraining trespassers
• Completing reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities
• Interviewing witnesses and obtaining signatures
• Maintaining environment by monitoring and setting building and equipment controls
• Performing extensive interior/exterior patrols to assigned areas
• Other duties as assigned
