About The Position

The Security Guard will assist our customer with ensuring the safety and security of resident and authorized visitors. This is a part-time position requiring work on Saturday and Sunday from 5:30 AM to 2 PM, with a pay rate of $20 per hour.

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED required.
• Prefer (1) year of experience as a security guard and show evidence of successful prior security, military, or law enforcement experience.
• Customer service and interpersonal skills are critical for this position.
• Excellent integrity and demonstrate good moral character and initiative.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing, using proper grammar and vocabulary.
• Ability to function well in a team environment.
• Ability to remain professional and courteous with customers at all times.
• Must possess or be able to obtain a state issued Unarmed Certification.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Secures premises and personnel by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points; permitting entry.
• Obtains help by sounding alarms.
• Prevents losses and damage by reporting irregularities; informing violators of policy and procedures; restraining trespassers.
• Completes reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities; interviewing witnesses; obtaining signatures.
• Maintains environment by monitoring and setting building and equipment controls.
• Requires extensive interior/exterior patrols to assigned areas.
