About The Position

The Part-Time Maintenance Worker at the Memorial Coliseum is responsible for performing maintenance tasks in various areas including Electrical, HVAC/Plumbing, and Audio/Visual under the direction of the Plant Facilities Manager. This role is event-based, requiring flexibility to work nights and weekends, making it suitable for retirees or students seeking additional income. The position is part-time and does not offer benefits.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid Indiana Driver's License.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently with little supervision.
• Basic knowledge and experience in electrical, HVAC/plumbing, or Audio/Visual fields.
• Effective communication skills with the public and other employees.
• Computer knowledge and ability to learn specific software for the Coliseum.
• Ability to understand event setup drawings.
• Must have a flexible schedule and own hand tools.
• Comfortable working at heights from ground level to upper catwalk levels.

Nice To Haves

• Data network knowledge.
• Experience with video and theatrical lighting programming.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic electrical troubleshooting and change light bulbs.
• Change electrical devices such as receptacles and switches.
• Set power according to clients' specifications.
• Conduct basic plumbing and HVAC repairs.
• Perform some refrigeration work.
• Set up and operate sound equipment for events.
• Identify and repair different types of cables.
• Program video and theatrical lighting as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
