About The Position

The Mechanical Engineering Program at Penn State Berks invites applications for one to four part-time adjunct instructors to teach laboratory sections of ME 345W: Instrumentation, Measurements, and Statistics during the Fall 2025 Semester. We are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated individuals who are passionate about undergraduate education and committed to fostering an inclusive learning environment.

Requirements

• Preferred: Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Desirable: Prior teaching or lab instruction experience.
• Strong understanding of sensor technologies, circuit design, and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Teach laboratory sessions scheduled on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. (two sections per day, ~12 students each).
• Guide students through hands-on experiments involving sensors, data acquisition, and statistical analysis.
• Ensure a safe and engaging lab environment.
• Collaborate with faculty to maintain consistency with course objectives and materials (already developed).
