The position is located at Rivet House in Athens, Georgia, which is the city’s first luxury, boutique hotel, approximately 1.5 hours from Atlanta. Rivet House has 50 luxurious guest rooms, an upscale Italian restaurant and bar, a coffee bar and retail shop, and a 2800 square foot health and beauty spa. The role involves joining a team of experienced professionals to provide luxury service to all guests as a licensed and professional Massage Therapist.

Requirements

  • Proven work experience as a Massage Therapist or similar role
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients
  • Ability to develop a plan of action for client's care
  • Ability to make a client feel comfortable
  • Deep knowledge of skin care techniques
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent with a valid Georgia Massage Therapist license required
  • Must be effective at listening, understanding, clarifying, and resolving the concerns and issues raised by co-workers and guests.
  • Flexible to workdays, nights, holidays and weekends, when necessary, based on business and staffing needs.

  • Experience in hot stone, deep muscle, and prenatal therapy.

Responsibilities

  • Performs professional quality massage, within scope of practice and licensing.
  • Designs specific sessions based on members or guests' individual needs.
  • Assists in the promotion of the health and wellness benefits to clients receiving massage therapy on a regular basis.
  • Creates excellent member/guest experience through a friendly and helpful attitude.
  • Utilizes other approved modalities, in accordance with Georgia law.
  • Communicate various promotions to clients.
  • Follow all practice policies and protocols.
  • Assists in the cleanliness of the location (treatment rooms and common areas).
  • Maintain detailed and accurate treatment records of clients.
  • Attend and participate in meetings and training sessions.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
