About The Position

The Community Services Foundation is seeking a Part Time Maintenance Technician for the Lincoln area. The Maintenance Technician will maintain high quality maintenance and cleanliness for assigned facilities. Will be responsible for performing repairs and maintenance on equipment as directed, requisitioning supplies and equipment as needed, performing regular maintenance checks, and following established safety policies and procedures. NEW WAGE:$20-$30/hr

Requirements

  • Minimum 1-3 years working with general maintenance work with demonstrated proficiency.
  • Must have knowledge of general maintenance, such as heating & air conditioning units, plumbing, basic carpentry, electric, and various mechanical systems.
  • Must be able to do carpentry work.
  • Employer will supply tools and equipment.
  • Able to meet the physical requirements of any and all assigned janitorial, maintenance and construction duties.
  • Possess valid drivers license with acceptable driving record per company requirements.
  • Local travel is necessary.
  • Empolyer will supply transportation.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain residential facilities in good repair, ensuring a quality, safe and clean environment.
  • Keep facilities free of safety, mechanical and other hazards such as those caused by electrical, plumbing, heating and cooling systems, etc.
  • Maintain facilities in compliance with Federal, State and Local laws/requirements.
  • Follow schedules for routine maintenance and repair work, documenting and submitting reports as required.
  • Receive and process electronic work orders (E-tickets), and carry out preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Perform maintenance checks of the building, grounds, and facilities.
  • Document and report outcome of maintenance checks.
  • Under direction of management, schedule and complete special projects required to maintain the facilities, and/or accommodate growth and changes within the programs.
  • Maintain inventory of supplies, equipment, parts, and tools at facilities as required, and replenish as necessary.
  • Obtain parts, supplies and materials required to sustain routine maintenance and to complete special projects.
  • Have the ability to problem solve, to work independantly and as a team member.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, and general knowledge of computer use
  • General maintenance and repair work may include, but is not limited to:
  • Paint and perform carpentry and other miscellaneous repair work.
  • Familiarity with plumbing: clearing lines, piping replacement, fixture replacements, etc.
  • Maintain the exterior grounds of the buildings.
  • Keep the heating and air-conditioning units in good working order at all times.
  • Keep work areas and storage rooms neat and orderly.
  • Coordinate cleaning of outside windows.
  • Maintain building lighting efficiency.
