About The Position

The position of Groundskeeper will be responsible for landscaping and ground keeping of First Community Banks downtown properties both indoor and outdoor. Position will include minor building clean up, and other tasks to maintain a safe and attractive environment.

Requirements

• Transportation and a valid Drivers License
• A high school diploma or equivalent
• At least one to two years experience in grounds keeping
• Able to lift at least 50 pounds.
• Able to climb ladders and stairs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain lawns, trees, landscaping, and keeping grounds clear of trash and debris.
• Maintain and keep the bank free of litter and debris; clean debris from culverts and area drains; sweep sidewalks, streets, and parking lot.
• Maintain lawns by mowing, edging, watering, fertilizing, raking, and disposing of grass clippings.
• Maintain trees, flowerbeds, shrubs, and hedges by planting, trimming, pruning, watering, spraying pulling weeds and removing debris which accumulates in and underneath shrubs/hedges and trees.
• Other duties include sweeping, vacuuming, emptying trash containers, hauling debris and trash to dumpsters for disposal.
• Assist with hanging signs, banners or other types of advertisement used by the bank.
• All tasks performed by Groundskeeper will vary on a seasonal basis.
• On days where daily groundwork tasks cannot be performed, Groundskeeper will assist with other physical duties in maintenance services such as building maintenance and or other duties as assigned.
