Position Description Responsible for performing maintenance, general upkeep and repair of the facilities, which may include the residents, general offices, grounds, school, vehicles and equipment.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 2 years or more experience in the building trades preferred.
• Knowledge of carpentry, cleaning, maintenance work required.
• Computer literate, including Microsoft Office and Internet Explorer, with the ability to learn new software applications.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance including troubleshooting, repair, grounds keeping and preventative maintenance.
• This may include basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, locksmith, boiler maintenance, landscaping, and snow shoveling/salting.
• Monitor security of building and grounds.
• Under the direction of the Facilities Manager/Program Director, monitor and assist with enforcement of building codes, fire regulations, safety evaluation plans, OSHA regulations and other related laws.
• Coordinate and follow up on all maintenance related contractual services.
• Coordinate vehicle maintenance schedule for repairs and preventative work.
• May be responsible for some janitorial assignments as needed - emptying trash cans, cleaning toilets, mopping floors, etc.
• Must be willing to work on weekends if need be.
• May be required to carry a mobile device.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.
