About The Position

The Part Time MA/Dermatology Technician I/II/III position at Kelsey-Seybold Clinic involves providing supportive patient care functions for Dermatology and other assigned clinical areas under the supervision of a Physician, Registered Nurse, or Licensed Vocational Nurse. The role ensures the safety and comfort of patients and families according to legal, organizational, and professional standards. The technician will serve as the primary support for an assigned Dermatologist and may be required to demonstrate knowledge and scribe medical terminology to assist in documentation during office visits and procedures. Responsibilities include administering injectables, performing phototherapy treatments, assisting with procedures, managing pathology logs, and ensuring all results are communicated to patients.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED from an accredited program.
• Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Derm Tech I: No experience required.
• Derm Tech II: 3 years of directly related experience or successful completion of an externship.
• Derm Tech III: 8 years of directly related experience with certification or 9 years without certification.
• BLS Certification through American Red Cross.

Nice To Haves

• Ambulatory Care experience (1 year related to department or specialty).
• Windows based computer skills.
• EPIC experience.
