Part-time Lower School Reading Teacher (Grades 2 & 3) 2026-27 Porter-Gaud School is an Episcopal, independent, co-educational day school of 1,650 students in preschool through grade 12. The Lower School division has an opening for a part-time Reading Teacher (Grades 1- 3) for the 2026-27 School Year.. Our Lower School division is composed of grades 1 through 4. The Part-time Lower School Reading Teacher will be required to teach second and third grade students in reading. This person will be able to work both independently and collaboratively and will be able to teach effectively from the established grade level curriculum and adapt this curriculum to meet the needs of students. This is a part-time position and therefore will not be eligible for most full time benefits. The Lower School teacher will display a continuous commitment to developing the attitudes, knowledge, and skills (intercultural competence) to engage in appropriate and effective communication with students, colleagues, and families from diverse backgrounds and perspectives.
