About The Position

WGN-TV seeks a highly-motivated, on-camera TV personality to join us as a part-time lifestyle host for our lifestyle programs. The ideal candidate must bring an engaging, organized, and creative approach to daily, live shows. The part-time lifestyle host, along with the show’s producers, will work together to create content for the shows, which will include some sponsored content. This position will work closely with the sales department. Daily duties include hosting a live show, some on-camera field production, voiceovers, writing, blogging and working with clients. The ideal candidate will be able to succeed in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment. The candidate will also be able to work both independently and as part of a team.

Requirements

• Minimum of three years on-air reporting experience
• Writing and anchoring experience
• Superior ad-lib interviewing skills
• Knowledge of Chicago
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
