About The Position

Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) in Prince William County: Join our team of professionals! We are an extremely service-oriented and client-focused non-profit organization supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in the Greater Prince William area. The Arc of Greater Prince William/INSIGHT, Inc. is currently seeking talented, experienced, dedicated, and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurses. Hourly position $30.00/hour. This schedule is every Sunday 6am-2pm at a group home located in Woodbridge, VA 22191 and can be combined with other LPN openings.

Requirements

• Experience with intellectually and developmentally disabled individuals.
• Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• A license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
• Flexibility in work schedule.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent computer skills.
• Ability to pass and maintain required trainings such as CPR/First Aid, Medication Administration (MAT), Medicaid Waiver, Human Rights, OSHA, and Van Training.
• Criminal and Child Protective Services Background investigations conducted for all employees.
• Must meet state of Virginia employment eligibility requirements.
• A valid Virginia Driver's license with a minimum of three (3) years driving experience in the United States.
• Driving record must meet agency’s vehicle insurance carrier requirements.
• Ability to attend and pass onsite training classes within the first 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing services to all individuals in the INSIGHT program that require nursing support.
• Provide guidance and direction to staff on health issues.
• Provide health-related education to staff who provide supports to individuals enrolled in the INSIGHT programs.
