Provides customer service to library patrons and the public, including greeting visitors and directing them to library areas.
Assists patrons with information related to library services, fees, procedures, and city information.
Researches book titles, availability, and patron records; reserves materials for patrons and notifies them about overdue books.
Returns library books and materials to appropriate shelving areas and locates missing materials as needed.
Checks library materials in and out using the automated circulation system; inspects materials for damage and withdraws those needing repair.
Performs general tasks related to library operations, including sorting and organizing donated materials and maintaining the library's appearance.
Monitors inventory levels of library supplies and initiates requests for new or replacement materials.
Answers the telephone, provides information, and directs calls to appropriate personnel.
Provides computer and reference assistance to library patrons and conducts informal training as needed.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Bachelor's degree is required.
One year of experience in customer service or a related field.
Ability to exert light physical effort in sedentary to light work, including lifting and carrying light objects (5-10 pounds).
Ability to communicate orally.

Enjoy assisting patrons with online resources.

Part-time hourly wage of $20.79.
Opportunity to train as a US Department of State Passport Acceptance Agent.
