About The Position

The College of Social Sciences and Humanities and its nine tenure units are the home of the Experiential Liberal Arts. Through its research, teaching, and engagement missions, the college collaborates across the university, the Northeastern network, and partners around the globe.

Requirements

  • M.A. required.
  • Ph.D. or A.B.D. preferred.
  • Experience in teaching large and diverse groups of students preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Teach undergraduate courses in one or more of the following fields: Introduction to Sociology, Introduction to Cultural Anthropology, Drugs and Society, Sociology of Mental Health, Gender, Poverty, Urban Sociology, Race and Ethnicity, Social Movements, Sociology of the Family, Disability, Work and Organizations, Anthropology of Latin America, Anthropology of Native North America, and other undergraduate courses.
  • Deliver lectures, develop assignments, grade assignments, and hold appropriate office hours.
  • Teach on ground on the Boston campus or online asynchronously.
  • Positions are available throughout the year contingent upon enrollment and departmental need.
