Requirements

  • Master's degree or equivalent in the subject matter.
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds, including individuals with disabilities
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)

Nice To Haves

  • One (1) or more years’ teaching-related college-level courses (24+ credits).
  • Experience using technology to enhance the learning environment, e.g., Blackboard, online instruction or other modalities/software.

Responsibilities

  • Teach their assigned course(s) in accordance with approved course descriptions and class schedules
  • Perform other related responsibilities
  • Be available at reasonable times to confer with students outside of class
  • Maintain accurate student records
  • Teaching courses within the assigned discipline area in accordance with institutional standards
  • Evaluating and assessing student learning outcomes
  • Providing student support, mentoring, and academic advising
  • Developing curriculum and periodically reviewing and updating instructional materials
