Requirements
- Master's degree or equivalent in the subject matter.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds, including individuals with disabilities
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)
Nice To Haves
- One (1) or more years’ teaching-related college-level courses (24+ credits).
- Experience using technology to enhance the learning environment, e.g., Blackboard, online instruction or other modalities/software.
Responsibilities
- Teach their assigned course(s) in accordance with approved course descriptions and class schedules
- Perform other related responsibilities
- Be available at reasonable times to confer with students outside of class
- Maintain accurate student records
- Teaching courses within the assigned discipline area in accordance with institutional standards
- Evaluating and assessing student learning outcomes
- Providing student support, mentoring, and academic advising
- Developing curriculum and periodically reviewing and updating instructional materials
