About The Position

The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at CSU Fullerton invites applications for its Part-Time Lecturer Pool. We welcome applications from individuals who are experienced and student centered to teach undergraduate courses in communicative disorders as needed in the following subject areas: Phonetics Introduction to communicative disorders Audiology and audiometry Aural Rehabilitation Speech/language disorders Speech/language development Sign language Anatomy and physiology Neurology and neurogenic communicative disorders Clinical methods and procedures Clinical Supervision This is a pool of part-time lecturers for the department to draw on as necessary. Qualified applicants will be contacted when positions are available. APPOINTMENTS FROM THE PART-TIME POOL ARE TEMPORARY AND OFTEN MADE JUST PRIOR TO THE START OF THE ACADEMIC TERM. APPLICANTS MUST BE AVAILABLE ON VERY SHORT NOTICE.

Requirements

  • A Master’s or PhD (i.e. M.A, M.S., AuD, PhD, EdD) degree in Communicative Disorders
  • Candidates should have prior teaching experience at the university level or at least 5 years of experience as a Speech and Language Pathologist (SLP).
  • Candidates should demonstrate their ability to interact and work effectively with a wide and culturally diverse student population, including first-generation college students.
  • Licensed Speech and Language Pathologist or Audiologist with ASHA-CCC and State of California Licensure.

Nice To Haves

  • Preference will be given to those with significant teaching experience in working with diverse populations and fostering a collaborative, supportive and inclusive environment.
  • Preference will also be given to SLPs who are bilingual for clinical supervision
