About The Position

The School of Music at California State University, Fullerton invites applications for part-time faculty positions in all areas of music. Teaching responsibilities may include any instrument or voice, theory, composition, history, and/or musicology. This is a pool of part-time lecturers for the department to draw on as necessary. Qualified applicants will be contacted where positions are available. APPOINTMENTS FROM THE PART-TIME POOL ARE TEMPORARY AND OFTEN MADE JUST PRIOR TO THE START OF THE ACADEMIC TERM. APPLICANTS MUST BE AVAILABLE ON VERY SHORT NOTICE.

Requirements

A Master’s degree in any area of music, music performance and/or musicology, or equivalent professional and or/teaching experience in music area.
Candidates should demonstrate their ability to teach, interact and work effectively with a wide and culturally diverse range of students, including first-generation college students.

Nice To Haves

Preference will be given to those holding terminal degrees in their areas of specialty, such as a D.M.A in an applied area, a Ph.D. in musicology, an Ed.D. in music education, and the like.
Teaching experience in working with diverse populations and fostering a collaborative, supportive, and inclusive environment.
