Part-Time Lecturer Pool - Electrical Engineering (AY 25/26)
About The Position
The Electrical Engineering Department in the College of Engineering at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, is seeking part-time to nearly full-time lecturer position(s) available for the 2025-2026 academic year to teach undergraduate and graduate Electrical Engineering courses. Part-time appointments are made from a pool of approved applicants, as determined by need, and contingent on funding. The anticipated Electrical Engineering needs are in the areas of digital design, electric circuit analysis, electronics, electric power systems, and communication systems. Candidates with extensive industry experience are encouraged to apply. Initial rank and salary for lecturer faculty are based on professional experience and educational background and are determined by the hiring department. Most new lecturers are hired at the Lecturer A or B rank. As of July 2024, the classification salary ranges for the respective ranks are: Lecturer A: $5,507-$6,677 Lecturer B: $6,221-$13,224 Lecturer C: $6,825-$14,523 Lecturer D: $8,593-$15,211
Requirements
- B.S. in electronic, electrical, computer science, or computer engineering required for lab courses; M.S. in electronic, electrical, or computer engineering (or B.S. with applicable industrial experience) required for lecture courses.
- Demonstrated experience and commitment to student-centered learning and teaching, as well as the ability to collaboratively work in multidisciplinary settings, is required.
- Demonstrated proficiency in written and oral use of the English language is required.
