Chicago State University (CSU) is seeking multiple adjunct instructors for the CIMST department to teach courses in various areas including archives, digital curation and preservation, electronic records management, reference, and digital libraries. Faculty positions at CSU are governed by a collective bargaining agreement, and all faculty are hired, evaluated, and retained based on the conditions outlined in the union contract. The primary duties of faculty members include teaching and related activities assigned during a term of 4.5 months. Each faculty member is expected to engage in teaching and teaching-related activities, which includes developing syllabi and teaching materials relevant to the courses they teach. Some disciplines may require specific certifications and/or licensure for practice within the State of Illinois, as well as degree-specific coursework and/or graduate degrees in the discipline.
