About the position

The Naveen Jindal School of Management at the University of Texas at Dallas is seeking to create a pool of qualified temporary instructors for potential teaching opportunities in Innovation and Entrepreneurship. This role involves preparing and teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses, with no guarantee of a permanent position. The pool will remain active for one year, and candidates should be flexible with their schedules as classes may be held on weekdays.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and teach undergraduate classes and/or labs.
  • Maintain contact with the student population in the classroom and via electronic learning platforms (eLearning).
  • Contribute assessment information and data as requested through the administration and the Assessment Team.
  • Participate in course evaluation surveys.

Requirements

  • An earned graduate degree appropriate to the academic discipline/topic.
  • A record of productivity and professional achievement.

Nice-to-haves

  • A terminal degree in the academic discipline/topic.
  • Higher education teaching experience by start date.
  • Seven or more years of professional practice in startup strategies and marketing, design thinking and customer validation, business valuation, business pitch/plan development, attracting stakeholders, financing the venture, managing the growing business and exit strategies.
  • Relevant expertise in corporate innovation, strategy and competition in high technology business, new technology development, managing emerging technologies (e.g., artificial intelligence and machine learning), or not-for-profit organizations concerned with social impacts of science, technology and innovation.
