About The Position

The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) is seeking a dedicated Part Time Lecturer in Spanish (literature) to join the College of Liberal Arts starting in Spring 2025. This role is focused on providing high-quality education to a diverse student body, particularly in a bilingual and bicultural environment. The lecturer will contribute to UTRGV's mission of promoting student access and success through innovative teaching and engagement in the community.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Spanish or a closely related field.
• Minimum of 18 graduate hours in Spanish literature.

Nice To Haves

• PhD/Doctorate in Spanish or a closely related field.
• Experience in teaching at the college level.
• Familiarity with Hispanic/Spanish language and literature.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate courses in Spanish literature.
• Engage with students to foster a supportive learning environment.
• Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to curriculum development.
• Provide academic advising to students as needed.
