About The Position

The University of Chicago's Humanities Collegiate Division is seeking part-time Lecturers for the 2024-25 academic year to teach in the Creative Writing program. The role involves preparing and delivering craft seminars or workshop-style classes in poetry, nonfiction, and/or fiction, along with providing feedback on student assignments and holding office hours. The selected candidates may teach between one and four courses depending on departmental needs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent; MFA or Ph.D. in Creative Writing preferred.
• Minimum of two years of experience teaching creative writing at the university or post-secondary level.
• Record of publication in print and/or online publications.

Responsibilities
