About The Position

The City of Nashua is looking for a highly motivated individual to join our Nashua Public Library as a Part-Time Janitor. Take your career to the next level with us as opportunities for growth and development await. JOB SUMMARY AND RESPONSIBILITIES This position is responsible for cleaning in the library. Duties include general cleaning of public spaces and bathrooms such as vacuuming, mopping, and dusting, as well as cleaning and sanitizing countertops, tables and bathrooms. Additional duties may include emptying trash and recycling, shoveling snow and sanding walkways when needed, and other general cleaning duties on the grounds outside the building. This is a part-time 20 hours per week position, with a work schedule of Monday to Friday, 7 am to 11 am (with occasional Sunday hours for overtime). This position is part of Local 4831 and has an hourly rate ranging from $17.72 - $18.39, depending on experience.

Requirements

Applicant should have clearly demonstrated experience in cleaning and housekeeping work
Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds and be able to operate standard cleaning equipment
Ability to follow instruction and work independently is required
