About The Position

The Part Time Janitor plays a crucial role in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized environment within our manufacturing facility. This position ensures that all workspaces, common areas, and restrooms are regularly cleaned and sanitized to meet health and safety standards. The janitor will contribute to the overall efficiency of the manufacturing process by minimizing hazards and promoting a hygienic workplace. This role requires attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work independently during assigned shifts. Requirements

• Prior experience in janitorial or custodial work, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and supplies, and safe handling procedures.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality to fulfill scheduled part-time shifts.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with manufacturing facility operations and safety standards.
• Certification or training in workplace safety or hazardous material handling.
• Experience using industrial cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers or pressure washers.
• Strong communication skills to effectively report issues and coordinate with team members.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting floors and surfaces throughout the facility.
• Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste in accordance with company policies and environmental regulations.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and other common areas to maintain hygiene standards.
• Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies and notify management when inventory is low.
• Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or equipment malfunctions observed during cleaning duties.
• Follow all safety protocols and use personal protective equipment as required to ensure a safe working environment.
