Part Time Janitor
About The Position
The Non Union Janitor plays a critical role in maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment within a manufacturing facility. This position ensures that all designated areas, including production floors, restrooms, offices, and common spaces, are thoroughly cleaned and well-maintained to support operational efficiency and employee well-being. The janitor will be responsible for routine cleaning tasks as well as responding promptly to any spills or hazards to uphold workplace safety standards. This role contributes directly to the overall appearance and hygiene of the facility, which is essential for compliance with health regulations and fostering a positive work environment. The successful candidate will work independently and as part of a team to meet daily cleaning schedules and special project needs as they arise.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in janitorial or custodial work, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
- Ability to operate standard cleaning equipment and use cleaning chemicals safely.
- Physical capability to perform manual labor including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Basic understanding of workplace safety practices and compliance.

Responsibilities
- Perform daily cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and trash removal across all assigned areas.
- Sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and other communal spaces to maintain high standards of hygiene.
- Ensure proper use and storage of cleaning supplies and equipment, reporting any maintenance or safety issues promptly.
- Assist with setting up and cleaning after special events or maintenance activities within the facility.
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and maintain a secure working environment.
