About The Position

The Part Time Janitor at CFM's Tech location, plays a crucial role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all employees, visitors, and contractors. This position is responsible for performing a variety of cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure that all assigned areas meet the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene. The janitor will contribute to the overall operational efficiency by promptly addressing cleaning needs and reporting any maintenance issues. This role requires attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work independently during assigned shifts. Ultimately, the janitor helps create a positive workplace atmosphere that supports productivity and well-being.

Requirements

  • Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • Basic understanding of cleaning procedures and use of cleaning chemicals.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Legal authorization to work in the location specified.
  • PTOC needs to be available for all shifts
  • 1st shift -Mon - Friday 6:00am-2:30pm
  • 2nd shift -Mon-Friday 2:00pm-10:30pm
  • 3rd shift -Sun-Thursday -10:00pm -6:30am

Nice To Haves

  • Previous janitorial or custodial experience in a commercial or industrial setting.
  • Familiarity with safety protocols related to cleaning chemicals and equipment.
  • Good communication skills to report issues clearly and effectively.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts including early mornings, evenings, or weekends if needed.
  • Basic knowledge of workplace safety standards and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and trash removal in offices, restrooms, hallways, and common areas.
  • Sanitize high-touch surfaces and restrooms to maintain health and safety standards.
  • Restock supplies such as paper towels, toilet paper, and soap in restrooms and break areas.
  • Report any maintenance or safety hazards observed during cleaning duties to the appropriate personnel.
  • Ensure cleaning equipment and materials are used safely and stored properly after each shift.
