About The Position

The Part-Time Janitor position at our Denver location is essential for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all employees and visitors. This role focuses on performing routine cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure that all areas, including offices, restrooms, and common spaces, meet high standards of hygiene and appearance. The janitor will contribute to the overall operational efficiency by promptly addressing cleaning needs and reporting any maintenance issues. This position requires attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work independently during assigned shifts. Ultimately, the janitor plays a vital role in supporting a productive and healthy workplace atmosphere.

Requirements

• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Basic understanding of cleaning procedures and use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.

Nice To Haves

• Previous janitorial or custodial experience in a commercial or industrial setting.
• Familiarity with safety standards related to cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Ability to operate floor cleaning machines such as buffers or scrubbers.
• Good communication skills to report issues effectively to supervisors.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts including early mornings, evenings, or weekends if needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting floors and surfaces throughout the facility.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, including replenishing supplies and ensuring fixtures are in good working order.
• Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste according to company and environmental guidelines.
• Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies, reporting any shortages or malfunctions to management.
• Identify and report any safety hazards, maintenance needs, or security concerns observed during cleaning rounds.
