About The Position

The Part Time Internal Brands Designer assists with tasks related to creation of Menards Private Label packaging. This role will help shape the future of our private label brands, contributing to the visual appeal of our products and increasing our sales in the marketplace. Requirements

• Associates or Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Graphic Design, Communication, or Journalism (optional), or students pursuing one of the previously listed degrees
• Working knowledge of Adobe CC Suite
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, enabling effective teamwork and open communication.
• Must have a strong work ethic and organizational skills
• Ability to be creative with product placement and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Attentive to detail, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently, take initiative, and drive projects with minimal supervision.
• Constructive feedback skills, contributing to team growth in a collaborative work environment.
• Able to work a minimum of 16 hours per week, Monday through Friday between the hours of 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM

Responsibilities

• Develop packaging designs for our private label brands
• Such as color boxes, hangtags, blister cards, direct print, and more
• Utilize Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop to create designs that highlight the product’s features
• Collaborate with other teams to ensure your packaging designs align with product features and market trends, ensuring products are more marketable, contributing to sales growth.
• Stay up to date with market trends, consumer preferences, and competitor packaging
• Other tasks as assigned by Team Lead or Dept. Manager
