About The Position

Nevada State University actively maintains an open pool of qualified individuals to be selected on an as-needed basis by the department to fulfill part-time temporary instructional needs and applications are accepted on an ongoing basis. Nevada State invites applications for an open pool of adjunct faculty for online courses in the NS SOC catalogue with particular need for Principles of Sociology (SOC 101). Applications will be considered on an as-needed basis determined by course availability. Adjunct faculty members are compensated at the rate of $1,000 per credit hour. Courses range from 3 credits. Requirements

  • Master's degree in Sociology or closely related field.
  • Demonstrated record of experience and/or training in teaching in higher education.
  • Evidence of training, skills, and/or experience in online teaching and learning.
  • Substantiated record of ability to work independently and reliably.
  • Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship (Nevada State does not sponsor employment-related visas).
