About The Position

The Austin Peay State University School of Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) program is seeking qualified part-time Instructors to teach various Master’s level FNP clinical courses. MSN clinical courses are managed via online learning management systems and electronic, web-based clinical software. Each course in the curriculum has been developed and approved by the MSN curriculum committee. Availability of teaching assignments vary based on each semester’s enrollment.

Requirements

• Master in the science of nursing (MSN)
• Licensure as an APRN and RN in Tennessee or compact state
• Current Family Nurse Practitioner Certification (ANCC or AANP)
• Current active practice as FNP with 3 years of experience
• A background search will be required of the successful applicant.

Responsibilities

• MSN clinical Instructors are required to engage with students and preceptors throughout the semester
• Supervise the students’ clinical preceptorship experiences to ensure clinical outcomes and competencies are achieved
• Manage student progress
• Grade course assignments in timely manner
• Actively engage with students online or by other methods
