About The Position

Austin Peay State University’s College of Business, in pursuit of AACSB accreditation, invites qualified applications for an instructor position in accounting for the 2024/25 academic year. The successful applicants will primarily teach accounting courses at the undergraduate level.

Requirements

  • Minimum of an earned master’s degree in accounting, or in a related field with at least 18 graduate hours in accounting
  • Alternatively, Master’s Degree in Business, and 3+ years of professional experience related to accounting, and
  • Classification as Instructional Practitioner (IP, defined in the appendix) according to AACSB accreditation standards.
  • A background check will be required of the successful candidate

Responsibilities

  • Possess the knowledge, talents, and skills in their functional areas, and in multiple teaching methodologies including conventional, online, hybrid, flipped, and blended courses.
  • Demonstrate respect for the diverse learning needs of students.
  • Demonstrate the ability to develop and implement curriculum objectives and content for thecourses taught.
  • Demand and maintain high standards and expectations for all students.
  • Develop and implement evaluation and assessment techniques that are appropriate for each course.
  • Use multiple measures to assess student learning on a regular basis and provide frequent feedback to students relative to their performance.
  • Be qualified under College of Business policy and consistent with AACSB standards.
