About The Position

The College of Southern Nevada (CSN) is seeking a part-time Nursing Instructor for FY 2026. Responsibilities include teaching college-level courses in nursing, developing syllabi and course materials, evaluating student mastery of skills and competencies, and providing an excellent teaching experience along with student advisement, recruitment activities, and program/curriculum development. Assignments may be multi-campus and could include day, evening, and/or weekend classes. This job announcement is not an offer of employment but is intended to build a candidate pool for potential part-time positions. If a position becomes available, the department will review applications and invite select candidates for interviews based on qualifications. There is no guarantee of a minimum course load or continued employment, and no travel reimbursement will be provided.

Requirements

• BSN from a regionally accredited college or university with five (5) years of experience in specialty area within the past seven (7) years, or
• Master's in nursing from a regionally accredited college or university, or
• Master's in Health Related Field and a BSN from a regionally accredited college or university.
• Unencumbered Nevada RN license.
• Clinical experience.
• Interest in teaching either LPN or RN students.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience as an educator.
• Experience with evaluation and assessment methods used within nursing education programs.

Responsibilities

• Teach college-level courses in the field of nursing.

Benefits

• $925 per credit for lecture per semester.
• $46.25 per hour for lab/clinical.
