The Part-time Instructor of Nursing Assistant provides instruction to students in the Nursing Assistant class, directs student discussion and evaluates student performance in the classroom. Provides instruction in the clinical and lab settings for students in the Nursing Assistant course. Prepares students for state certification exam. The focus of student instruction includes the application of relevant theoretical frameworks, development and refinement of psychomotor skills, integration of pathophysiology and disease processes, and Nursing Assistant care of clients across the lifespan with alterations in health in hospital and community-based settings. Nursing Assistant Faculty are expected to create a caring learning environment that will promote active learning and foster critical thinking.
