About The Position

The University of Pittsburgh Global Studies Center invites applications for a part-time faculty position beginning February 2026. The successful candidate will serve as a cultural ambassador within the Pittsburgh community through public presentations and participation in Global Studies Center events. You will contribute to instructional and educational initiatives for Pitt students, K–12 educators, and community members, with specific responsibilities determined in consultation with the Director of the Global Studies Center. Workload may include a combination of in-person and virtual engagements, depending on programmatic needs. You will also be expected to instruct a course for the Governor's School for Global & International Studies during the summer 2026 term.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. in global governance, international law, human rights, or related areas of international affairs is required.
  • Candidates should demonstrate a strong record of scholarship, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to public engagement and education.

Responsibilities
