Through advanced fire safety design, code compliance, and hands-on learning, our programs equip learners to enter a field where their expertise truly matters. You’ve worked in the fire protection field, designing, reviewing, or supporting sprinkler system installations, navigating codes and standards, and applying engineering principles that keep people and property safe. Now, bring that expertise into the classroom and help students become confident, capable, and industry-ready fire protection professionals. We welcome applicants with backgrounds in areas such as: Fire sprinklers and suppression systems Fire protection engineering technology Building systems, plumbing, and mechanical integration Code compliance, inspection, and system layout Hydraulic calculations and technical design tools Join our Talent Pool and be considered for future part-time teaching opportunities in the School of Fire Protection Engineering Technology. Course assignments are based on scheduling and instructional needs. Contract faculty typically teach up to 6 hours per week, with classes scheduled Monday to Friday between 8:00 am and 7:00 pm.
