About The Position

Conferences and Institutes is hiring an Instructional Assistant/Course Trip Facilitator and Driver for specific courses that have off-site learning components. Duties may include assisting with content development and instruction; preparation of learning materials and activities; presentation of specific subjects; assisting with course activities; supervising students during class trips; following appropriate protocols in the instance of student illness/injury or emergency during class trips. Duties will also include driving undergraduate students and equipment to off-site locations and acting as the designated chaperone for all class trip activities. Other course duties may be assigned, as warranted by course instructor. Since this position requires operation of a motor vehicle as part of the job duties a valid driver’s license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to standard background checks. Drivers will be requested to drive a variety of vehicles up to the size of a 15-passenger van. Additional training may be required.
