About The Position

NWS is a home health agency focused on serving a very niche population of patients. Our clients have been diagnosed with chronic illnesses due to occupational exposures while working for the Department of Energy or their contractors. Our team is devoted to a collective cause of providing a superior level of care meant to enhance the lives of the community we serve. We are seeking to hire a candidate for this position who shares our passion and dedication for the work that we do. We're looking to hire a part time staff nurse with a track record of reliability and a can-do attitude. The right candidate for this position will be compassionate and have strong communication skills. This position is responsible for providing skilled in home care to all patients assigned to their case load.

Requirements

• Must possess a valid RN license in good standing with the state board of nursing
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in home health or related healthcare field
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen
• Must have reliable transportation and valid insurance
• Current CPR certification and TB

• Ability to work both independently and with a team, sometimes having minimal supervision
• Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care

Responsibilities

• Conducting comprehensive assessments of patient's chronic conditions
• Providing services as ordered by the treating physician
• Educating patients and their families on disease process management
• Assisting the Case Manager with care coordination as needed, such as DME/HME
• Providing accurate and timely documentation of the services provided during their shift
• Observing and documenting new/worsening symptoms or progress toward goals
