About The Position

A wonderful, busy family on the Upper West Side is seeking a part-time housekeeper to oversee the home. The schedule will be 2 days per week, 8 hours per day. This home is a 4-bedroom, 4-bathroom apartment. They are seeking someone who can take ownership of household operations. This person must be okay with a cat. They are looking for someone who can work around the nanny and children, have tasks for the two days, and keep a schedule.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in private, high-level households
• Knowledge of fabrics. Must be able to read clothing labels
• Cat friendly
• Legal to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Daily housekeeping and organization of a 3‑bedroom, 4‑bathroom home
• Laundry, ironing, and general tidying/organization
• Take ownership of the home- let the family know what they are missing and keep the household running
• Know which products to use on floors vs on counters
• Not shrinking clothes and knowledge of clothing
• Ability to cook very simple meals
