About The Position

A lovely mature couple in the Clearwater area of Tampa, FL is seeking a part-time housekeeper for their home to start as soon as a great fit is found. The schedule will be three week days per week (flexible on days), starting out as 12-5pm, though there is flexibility on start time and the schedule may shift slightly over time, with notice. This is a live-out position and candidates must already be local to the area. Ideally the candidate to hire will be open to a full-time live-in position when the couple moves to a bigger home in approximately 1 year. The responsibilities will include maintenance and deep cleaning of a 4,000 square-foot home.

  • Must already be living in the Tampa area
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role
  • An excellent understanding of the English language both verbal and written
  • Dog friendly in case the principals bring in a disability support dog in a couple of years
  • Legal to work in the US

Nice To Haves

  • Intermediate cooking skills would be nice to have but at minimum, a willingness to learn

Responsibilities

  • Laundry and ironing
  • Occasional errands such as grocery shopping, going to the post office/FedEx, Target etc., going to the principal’s office or rental property to drop of documents and pickup mail
  • Light food prep and cooking: washing, cutting and preparing fruits, vegetables, and meats.
  • Organizing cabinets, closets, and storage areas as needed
  • Maintain inventory of household supplies
  • Packing and unpacking for trips
  • Taking out trash/recycling as needed
  • Empty/run the dishwasher if needed.
  • Event prep: assisting with hosting for dinner parties including decor, prep and cleanup and managing catering and additional event staff. This would be rare and with advance notice
