About The Position
A private family of 3 in the Little Holby area of Los Angeles is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented, and self-directed part-time housekeeper/laundress to maintain the cleanliness, organization, and overall care of the home. The ideal candidate is trustworthy, professional, skilled in garment care, and able to work independently with minimal supervision while upholding high standards. The home is just over 4000 sq ft and consists of 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. The general schedule will be 2, 8-hour days per week, either Monday and Thursday or Tuesday and Friday. The family is flexible with either combination.
Requirements
- Prior experience in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of garment care, fabric types, ironing, and steaming
- Family friendly – toddler in the home
- Reliable transportation
- Legal to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities
- Housekeeping Perform detailed cleaning of all living spaces, including kitchens, bedrooms, bathrooms, and common areas
- Dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and surface sanitizing
- Change bed linens, make beds, and rotate bedding as needed
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of closets, pantries, and storage areas
- Manage trash and recycling
- Laundry & Garment Care Wash, dry, fold, steam, and iron clothing and linens
- Handle delicate fabrics according to proper garment care instructions
- Hand-washing and stain removal as needed
- Manage dry cleaning: prepare outgoing items and put away returned pieces
- Organize wardrobes and seasonal clothing
- Mend minor repairs when needed (buttons, hems, etc.)
- Household Support Keep track of household supplies and notify the principal when replenishment is needed
- Maintain organization systems and ensure the home stays tidy between deep cleans
- Follow household protocols, checklists, and cleaning standards
